Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee (KNB) stated that the activity of three radical groups which planned to committee terrorist attacks in the West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions during the period from August 12 to 30 was prevented, AKIpress reported.

According to the statement, intentions to commit attacks against law enforcement officers, as well as acts of terrorism in crowded places have been disrupted.

During searches firearms and ammunition, TNT, an improvised explosive device, knives, printed and audio files with extremist content, attributes of international terrorist organizations were seized.

Currently, members of the groups are under pre-judicial investigations
