The Court of Appeals of Armenia on Wednesday denied the motion to change the decision on the arrest of Sasna Tsrer armed group member Armen Lambaryan and release him on bail.

Lambaryan’s attorney, Inessa Petrosyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.  

In her words, Lambaryan refused to attend the hearing.

To the question whether the decision will be appealed in the Cassation Court, the attorney noted that she will decide on that after discussing the issue with her client.

Lambaryan faces charges under Article 235.3 ( Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive device) and 219.3 (1) (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication) of the Armenian Criminal Code.

The Sasna Tsrer group member, who is currently in the Convicts’ Hospital, will be operated on in two weeks.
