Armenia will extradite eight convicted Iranian citizens during the coming 24 hours, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said on Wednesday, Irna reports.

In his words, the Iranian convicts will be handed over to the Iranian border guards during the next 24 hours, he noted.

The extradition was made possible through the efforts of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia and the cooperation with the country's Ministry of Justice.

The Iranians were mainly convicted for the drug suggling attempt.  They will continue serving their sentence in their homeland.
