YEREVAN. – Construction of the Friendship Bridge at the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo border checkpoint is in progress according to the schedule, and its operation will further strengthen transport cooperation between Armenia and Georgia.
The aforesaid was noted at Monday’s talk, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, between Armenian and Georgian Prime Ministers Hovik Abrahamyan and Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The interlocutors exchanged views also on the avenues for the development of bilateral cooperation in tourism and education.
In addition, they underscored the efforts toward ensuring regional stability and security.
At the end of the meeting, Kvirikashvili noted that the present-day Armenian-Georgian relations are at the highest level in the history of independent Georgia, and that it is necessary to continue efforts toward strengthening them.
Abrahamyan, for his part, assured that the Georgian PM’s current visit to Armenia will provide further impetus for the strengthening and further development of Armenian-Georgian friendly relations.
