Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II together with the Deputy Commander of the Karabakh Defense Army Vardan Balayan, on Thursday visited combat positions in Karabakh to convey his blessings to the Defense Army commanders and soldiers carrying out their service at the frontline.

The Catholicos was also accompanied by the members of the Supreme Spiritual Council.

“We want to convey our blessings, appreciation and gratitude to you for the devoted service you carry out, keeping our borders secure and ensuring peace of our people in Artsakh and Armenia,”Karekin II said.

The Catholicos wised the soldiers safe service and victorious return to their  hearths.

He also toured the positions and got familiarized with the conditions. Karekin II gifted crosses to the soldiers, as well as a cross with a sacred image for the chapel built through the efforts of the soldiers.
