Before the start of Eurovision in Kiev, four 2.5 m high plates, decorated by Armenian painter Marina Sargsyan, will be installed in the fan zone of the contest in the capital of Ukraine, Analitikaua reports.

In the painter's words, the work on the plates with the decorative-ornamental petrikovka painting took about three days.

''It is planned to create plates for each of the 44 countries participating in the contest. Each of them will have its own identity, the visual part being formed by a flag, coat of arms and famous landscape specific to each country. I am still thinking which country to choose: I have stopped on Ukraine or Armenia. I want to decorate two plates both for Ukraine and Armenai,'' Sargsyan said.

The Organising Committee of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest on Friday named Kiev as the city which will host the contest next year.

Ukraine earned the right to take part in the international song contest after Jamala's victory in 2016 Eurovision held in Stockholm.
