YEREVAN. - A 53-year-old woman tried to torch herself in Yerevan on Thursday.
The workers of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of Armenia tried to evict her and her family from the place of their residence.
Nazik Aslikyan, who tried to set herself alight, told Armenian News – NEWS.am that it is already 16 years they have lived in one of the shacks in Moldovakan street of Yerevan’s Nor Nork district. However, they recently found out that that territory has been purchased by a Gagik Manukyan, and they have to leave their house.
Aslikyan noted that she took that extreme measure since the family consisting of five members lives in bad social conditions and has nowhere else to live in.
The workers of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service gave the family time until November 3, until the further actions are decided in a judicial procedure.
