YEREVAN. – The Azerbaijani hacker teams’ attacks against Armenian websites have fallen sharply over the course of the past one year.

Information Security expert Samvel Martirosyan said the aforementioned Saturday at an international cybersecurity conference in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

“[But] it’s hard to say the reason for such statistics,” added the expert. “Moreover, to predict their future developments for Armenia.”

In Martirosyan’s words, however, there are certain respective positive changes in Armenia, as Information Security regulatory bodies are starting to be set up in the country.

The other change, as the expert noted, is with respect to the ongoing movements within the domestic hacker community.

“Considerable changes are expected in the domain in the near future; first, conditioned on the changing of the generation,” added Samvel Martirosyan. “[And] new [hacker] teams will be formed.”
