Australian researchers have found that the fish are not “inferior” to the birds when it comes to their vocal intensity, according to Planet Today.

Robert McCauley from Curtin University in Perth, Australia, who is a leading expert on the “singing” of the fish, noted that, as  a rule, the fish with the best singing voice starts the singing, and it is then joined by the others. Moreover, as per McCauley, the fish sing the highest at dawn, just like the birds.

The researcher listens to this underwater singing for the past 30 years, and, in his words, he would like to listen to it without an end.
