YEREVAN. - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia has received overall 142 complaints on the results of the local self government elections held on October 18.

Chairman of the Commission, Tigran Mukuchyan, stated the aforementioned at a press-conference on Friday.

In his words, the complaints were mainly submitted in similar standard format, their demands also being similar.

Mukuchyan recalled that the local self government elections were held on September 18 in 317 communities of five Armenian provinces. “The community leader elections were held in 237 communities, whereas those aimed at electing city council members took place in 215 communities,” Mukuchyan noted, adding that 408 candidates took part in the voting.
