YEREVAN. - Sasna Tsrer armed group members Varuzhan Avetisyan and Toros Torosyan will remain in custody for two more months.

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts made the aforementioned decision on Friday, satisfying the investigator’s motion.

Both Varuzhan Avetisyan and Toros Torosyan have been charged under Article 218.3.1 (hostage-taking) and 235.3 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices.) of the Armenian Criminal Code.  However, in Avetisyan's case, these charges were added to those brought against him in connection with organizing mass disturbances on 24 April 2015.
