The implementation of the migration agreement with Turkey remains a priority for the EU.

European Commissioner for Migration and Home Affairs, Dimitris Avramopoulos, said the aforementioned after the summit of ‘Balkan route’ countries in Vienna.

“Implementation of the EU-Turkey agreement is a priority and remains our plan A,” Avramopoulos said.

According to the Commissioner, thanks to the cooperation with Turkey, the migrant flow in EU has drastically fallen from several thousands to several hundreds per day, RIA Novosti reports.

In mid-March, heads of EU member-states and governments agreed with Turkey on a joint plan to fight against the migration crisis.
