The EU intends to pay Syrian refugees who are in the territory of Turkey, € 30 per month, Gazeta reported quoting Die Welt.

It was reported that the amount will be allocated via cards in October. Turkish Red Crescent and UN World Food Programme with the support of the Turkish authorities will control the process of the implementation.

According to European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides, these payments will help the refugees to return “a sense of normalcy”.

He added that this measure is an unprecedented response to an unprecedented crisis.
