YEREVAN. – The small businesses in Armenia will be exempt from the $40-$45 expense when importing each consignment of products.
Acting Minister of Economy Artsvik Minasyan on Tuesday stated the aforesaid in the National Assembly, as he introduced the respective draft amendments to the Law on Customs Regulation.
This bill exempts product consignments worth up to €200 from the customs duties.
In Minasyan’s words, by eliminating these fees, businesses in Armenia will save money during customs clearance, and, also, on the account of customs brokerage services.
As a result, $40-$45 will be saved when importing each product.
Armenia is launching this procedure, for assisting small businesses, in compliance with customs law of the Eurasian Union.
