The presentation entitled “Armenian book” will take place in Lviv on Thursday on occasion of the 400th anniversary of the first printed book of Ukraine Armenians, “David’s Psalter” (Lviv, 1616).

The unique edition of the collection of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine (UAU) tractate entitled “Current issues of Armeniology” (III-IV editions), which includes the Armeniology works of over 30 Ukrainean and foreign academics, will also be presented among the two dozens of books. The collection has been issued on occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Armenian book printing in Ukraine.

According to the head of the UAU Committee on Historical and Cultural Heritage, David Davtyan, the collection also includes the materials of international scientific conferences organized by UAU in cooperation with the Ukrainian research centers, AnalitikaUA.net reports.

“This edition includes the new researches of Ukrainian and foreign academics, many of which are published for the first time, being dedicated to the topics not studied before, which makes this edition especially valuable,” Davtyan said.

Apart from this, the guests will be presented new books on the history and culture of Armenians of Ukraine, both in Ukrainian and Armenian. Among these are religious and scientific works, as well as translations of Armenian classic literature and dictionaries.
