Armenia has climbed from 82nd to 79thplace in the Global Competitiveness Index rankings in the Global Competitiveness Report 2015-2016 by the World Economic Forum.
Among regional countries Georgia ranks 59th, while Azerbaijan is 37th on the list. Iran and Turkey are 76th and 55h respectively.
Switzerland tops the ranking followed by Singapore, and the United States. The last two countries in these rankings are Yemen and Mauritania.
The Global Competitiveness Report 2016-2017 assesses the competitiveness landscape of 138 economies, providing insight
into the drivers of their productivity and prosperity.
