YEREVAN. – Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Ignati Arakelyan on Wednesday received Martin Ledolter, Managing Director of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

The objective of this talk was to discuss the agricultural projects being implemented in Armenia, and identify the prospects for further cooperation, the Ministry of Agriculture informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The Austrian Development Agency provides great assistance to the development of agriculture in Armenia,” noted Minister Arakelyan. “I hope our cooperation will be continued hereafter.”

Ledolter, for his part, stressed that Armenia and Austria have several similarities in the agrarian sector, and that, in this regard, the exchange of track-records is especially important. In addition, the ADA chief invited the Armenian agriculture minister to Austria, to get familiarized—on location—with the agriculture sector of this country.

At the end of the talk, Minister of Agriculture Ignati Arakelyan presented the Prime Minister of Armenia medal to Martin Ledolter, in recognition of his considerable contribution to the past and present agricultural projects in Armenia.
