YEREVAN. - The agricultural enterprises included in the VAT zone will pay income tax in Armenia starting from 2025.

Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), Vakhtang Mirumyan, said the aforementioned Wednesday as he introduced the draft Tax Code for discussion during the second reading.

He stressed that this doesn’t concern individual farmers, but enterprises which are large enough to operate in the VAT regime.

“We applied deductions in regard to agricultural enterprises but now we think that if they have income, they can pay taxes from it like the rest,” Mirumyan added.
