The presentation entitled “Armenian book” was held in Lviv on occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Armenian book printing in Ukraine. The event was organized by the Union of Armenians of Ukraine (UAU) and the Armenian community of Lviv, AnalitikaUA.net reports.

According to the organizers, the event was attended by the representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Greek Catholic, Romanian Catholic and Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, famous scientists, as well as the delegation of UAU and Armenian Community of Lviv.

The unique edition of “Current issues of Armeniology” (III-IV edition) - a collection of the UAU tractates - sparked special interest among the two dozens of books presented. It includes Armeniological works of over 30 Ukrainian and foreign academics.

The Ukrainian and Armenian versions of the new books on the history and culture of Ukraine Armenians were also met with great interest at the exhibition. Among them were also religious and popular science editions, as well as translations of Armenian classic literature and dictionaries.

Following the presentation, the books were sent over to the museums and libraries of Lviv.
