YEREVAN. – After the events that occurred in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in April, the approach by the Armenian side [to the Karabakh conflict] has become somewhat stricter.
Ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP Artak Zakaryan, who is also Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, said the aforementioned at a press conference on Friday.
“Our principles have not changed; the format for solving the problem likewise has not changed for us,” noted Zakaryan. “The Nagorno-Karabakh people’s right to self-determination remains important to us.
“Small tactical and ceremonial transitions to the settlement option are procedures, but the political direction doesn’t change from it.”
