YEREVAN. – Perhaps, people still do not fully understand to what extent the constitutional reforms and the transition to a new model of governance will change our reality.

The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, said the aforementioned at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

“With the constitutional reforms, we have de facto begun the systemic changes,” noted Sargsyan. “And from this viewpoint, this [new] government assumes the key role: to become the locomotive, driving force, and the doer of these changes.

“The transition from a semi-presidential system of governance to a parliamentary system not only changes the model of governance, but, first and foremost, it resolves the matter of a change in collective thinking and collective attitude.”
