Kyrgyz artist Azamat Janaliyev has created the portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin from nails on occasion of the latter’s birthday, Radio Baltika reports.

Janaliyev ‘painted’ the picture on a plywood sheet, using nails and wool yarn. He told the journalists that he would like to personally hand his creation to Putin, but plans to continue his round-the-world trip, during which he is going to ‘paint’ about 200 pictures of famous people. He will leave Putin’s portrait in the Peter and Paul fortress of Saint Petersburg.

“I hope he will find out about this present through the media and someone will hand him the portrait if I leave by then. But if I am called to Kremlin, I will come no matter where I am,” Janaliyev said.

On his Facebook page, the artist added that he gifts the portrait to the President on behalf of all Kyrgyz migrants residing in Russia.
