YEREVAN. - The third stage of the Open Game Armenian Open Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games took place during the 12th annual DigiTec exhibition in Yerevan on Friday.
Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) press-service informed the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.
The authors of 20 computer and mobile games presented their projects in the framework of the championship. This professional jury was composed of the representatives of Ucom, PicsArt, X-TECH, Frismos, ViViFi, Underwater Apps, etc.
The names of the authors of the best games will be announced at the Open Game 2016 exhibition to be held by the end of October.
This year the participants have been given an opportunity to use the Scratch programming language. Over 2000 pupils know this program, successfully using it for programming robots.
The total prize fund is 2 mln AMD. Other encouragement prizes, including technical equipment, will also be awarded
Open Game Championship has been implemented since 2011 thanks to the joint efforts of the UITE and Ucom. It is already two years Huawei has been the partner of the competition.
Open Game aims to create a favorable environment for the game industry development in Armenia and promote the youth which has potential in the technological area.
