YEREVAN. - The grand opening of the sculptural group dedicated to Ararat-73 football team took place in Yerevan on Monday.

The ceremony was attended by Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, President of the National Olympic Committee Gagik Tsarukyan, Armenian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Hrachya Rostomyan and members of Ararat-73 team.

Ararat-73 became the USSR Champion and holder of the USSR Cup. The grand opening of the sculptural group was dedicated to the legendary footballers. The author of the monument located nearby Hrazdan stadium is the chief architect of Yerevan Tigran Barseghyan, the head of the sculptors’ group being Armen Samvelyan.
