NATO’s Е-3 reconnaissance plane landed in Tallinn, reports the RIA Novosti, referring to the headquarters of the Estonian army. The aircraft is equipped with AWACS radar detection system. The permanent location is NATO’s airbase in Germany.

According to the Estonian Navy Commander, Colonel Jaak Tarien, the flight of E-3 aircraft is going in accordance with the program, with the support of the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian defense structures. The Baltic countries do not have their own aircrafts for air patrol, therefore, in 2004, after they had joined the NATO, their air borders patrol has been implemented by other member states.
