YEREVAN. – Kazakhstan has informed Armenia’s authorities that President Nursultan Nazarbayev will not be attending the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Security Council meeting to be convened Friday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

“The Kazakh side informed us that the PM will represent Kazakhstan at the summit,” said Tigran Balayan, spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, responding to the respective query by Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As reported earlier, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev canceled his visit to Yerevan, and under the alleged reason of poor health.

On Tuesday, Nazarbayev’s press service had reported that he is receiving “cold-related” treatment.
