The presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Georgia Almazbek Atambayev and Giorgi Margvelashvili discussed issues on the deepening of cooperation between the countries on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Georgian leader's administration.

''During the meeting the President of Georgia expressed hope that the visit of the Kyrgyzstan leader will contribute to the development of bilateral ties. The conversation touched on the deepening of political cooperation between the two countries. The importance of supporting the intensiveness of the dialogue between the sides was underscored,'' reads the statement issued by the administration.   

Apart from this, the statement says that the presidents will sign a number of agreements on Thursday. According to Margvelashvili, the signing of agreements in such areas as security, economics and education will give a new impetus to the cooperation between the countries.

Following the visit to Georgia, Atambayev will head for Armenia.
