YEREVAN. – Armenia can become a bridge between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union (EU).

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment, Emil Tarasyan, told the above-said reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

He recalled that, despite being a member in the EAEU, Armenia still maintains its GSP+ preferential trade regime with the EU.

As a result, according to Tarasyan, the country’s partners in the EAEU can be offered to export their goods to the EU more easily, via Armenia.

“And Armenia, which conducts free trade with the other EAEU countries, could become a key for third countries, toward the Eurasian market,” added the deputy minister.
