YEREVAN. - Armenian Premier Karen Karapetyan on Friday received the delegation headed by the governor of Russia’s Rostov Oblast, Vasily Golubev.

Karapetyan expressed confidence that Golubev’s participation in the fifth Armenian-Russian interregional forum gives a new impetus to the regional cooperation, the press-service of the Armenian Government reports.

He also stressed that there is a great potential for expanding the economic cooperation, for the realization of which the Armenian side is going to present a package of investment programs to the Russian partners in near future.

Karapetyan stressed the perspectives of cooperation in a number of areas, including agriculture and tourism.

For his part, the governor of Rostov Oblast Vasily Golubev noted that he is ready to take measures to foster the development of cooperation with Armenian provinces and business circles, as well as to increase the volume of commodity turnover.  Golubev also underscored the importance of the vigorous activity and involvement of the Armenian community of Rostov.
