YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday paid a visit to the first ArmHiTec 2016 international exhibition of arms and defense technologies, which is held in capital city Yerevan.

The event is organized on the basis of the respective decision by the Interstate Commission of Military-Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member countries, the Press Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The CSTO comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan

The objective of this exhibition is to introduce the modern designs and ready solutions in arms and military equipment manufacture, and contribute to the implementation of systemic reforms in Armenia’s military industry.

The President toured ArmHiTec 2016, and got familiarized with the defense technology, arms’ innovations, and military equipment on display at this international exhibition.
