Large-scale NATO exercises will start in Latvia. As Delfi reported, two planes with 400 British soldiers landed at Riga’s airport the day before. Hundred more UK soldiers will arrive by sea.

UK military personnel together with soldiers of Latvia, the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands, Albania, Germany, Romania, Spain and other countries of NATO will take part in the international military exercises “Silver Arrow” in Adazi Training Area from October 17 to October 31. More than 3,000  troops will be involved in the exercises.

Interaction between military personnel of NATO countries during military offensives and defense will be practiced. In addition, the exercises are aimed at improving the interaction between the defense industry and civil state and municipal institutions of the host country. Reservists will also take part in “Silver Arrow”.
