YEREVAN. - The monolithic stature of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is rather a phantom, Deputy Director of the Caucasian Institute and political analyst Sergey Minasyan said at a press-conference on Monday.

In his words, the circumstance that Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev avoided to take part in the CSTO summit and didn't arrive in Yerevan for different reasons strengthened that opinion. ''In reality, all the CSTO member states are linked only to Russia. Yes, there is a direct cooperation, but Russia was and remains the link,' Minasyan stressed.

The summit of the CSTO member states was held in Yerevan on October 14.
