YEREVAN. - Let the Armenian opposition not blame the authorities for everything; it would better remember about itself.

Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Eduard Sharmazanov said the aforementioned on Monday at the parliamentary debate on the draft amendments to the Electoral Code.

He called groundless the statements on that the authorities brought pressure on the elected city council members from opposition in Vanadzor city so that they didn't elect a mayor from opposition.

''We were electing the head of the Central Electoral Commission and Prosecutor General exactly in the parliament. The entire opposition said it would vote against Tigran Mkrtchyan, and, before him, Gevorg Kostanyan. Then they took part in a secret ballot, as a result of which 'against' votes appeared to be few. Dear opposition deputies, were your also subjected to pressure?'' Shramazanov said.
