YEREVAN. - Armenian Premier Karen Karapetyan held an extraordinary session of the Government Tuesday.

The session addressed two issues: program of the Armenian Government and the decision on the ‘Armenian Government’s initiative regarding convening extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Armenia,’ the Government press-service reports.

The draft Government program was introduced by Vice Prime Minister, Armenian Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan. In his words, the challenges which Armenia faces require urgent implementation of reforms, with the involvement and use of the entire potential of Armenia and Armenians in this process.

Gabrielyan stressed that through reforms it is necessary to ensure the security of the highest value of Armenia, its citizens, their dignity, as well as raise their living standards and optimism in the future, Gabrielyan stressed.

“I think, we have formed quite an interesting barbell, for lifting which we need to concentrate our potential,” PM Karapetyan noted, urging the leaders of relevant agencies to pay special attention to program implementation.

The program approved by the Government will be introduced in the National Assembly.

As to the second issue regarding the extraordinary session of the National Assembly, the Government decided to convene it at 12:00pm on October 20. The issue on approving the Government program will be on the agenda of the session.
