YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia will bring budget airlines to the country.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on Thursday said the abovementioned in the National Assembly, as he introduced the new government program.

“The tourism sector will be at the focus of our attention,” stated Karapetyan. “We will present Armenia’s appeal in a more targeted manner, [and] launch measures to substantially increase the influx of tourists.

“We will ensure budget airlines’ flights to Armenia, directing them especially to the airport of Gyumri [i.e. the second largest city of the country].”
