President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is in on a working visit to Maastricht, on Thursday attended the Summit of the European People’s Party (EPP). The Chairman of the EPP, Joseph Dole, presided over the Summit, which was also attended by the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, as well as heads of the European Union and Eastern Partnership states and their respective governments, representing the EPP member parties.
In the framework of the agenda, the participants of the Summit discussed issues related to the preparations to the upcoming session of the European Council, also referring to the recent developments round the refugee crisis, as well as issues related to the EU economy and foreign policy. At the Summit, President Sargsyan made an address in which he touched on the regional issues and challenges.
In the government building of Limburg state, where the Summit is held, President Sargsyan also left a note in the Golden Book of Honorary Guests.
