The 5th Eurasian Economic Forum, organized by Italian Conoscere Eurasia Association and Roscongress Foundation was held in Verona on October 20-21, under the auspices of Verona’s municipal authorities.

Among the key speakers of the Forum were former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Minister Tatyana Valovaya, Russian Deputy FM Aleksey Meshkov, Belarus Deputy FM Evgeny Shestakov, Mayor of Verona Flavio Tosi and President of Rosneft Igor Sechin, as well as other high-ranking representatives of the EAEU political and business circles, Armenian MFA informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

At the plenary session entitled ‘Strengthening Dialogue,’ Belarus Deputy FM Evgeny Shestakov, Armenian Ambassador to Italy Victoria Baghdasaryan, Russian Ambassador to Italy Sergey Razov and Mongolian Ambassador to Russia Delgermaa Banzragchin delivered speeches.

In her speech, Ambassador Baghdasaryan presented the key areas of the Armenian economy, the implemented reforms and opportunities, stressing the high assessments given by authoritative international organizations regarding the engagement in business and economic liberties in Armenia.

The Ambassador made a special reference to the significant achievements and prospects for the area’s development in the area of informational technologies. She also briefed those present on the opportunities which Armenia can provide for entering the EAEU market.
