The Venezuelan Parliament adopted a resolution, which accuses the Venezuelan government of anti-constitutional actions and requires to sue the country's President Nicolas Maduro for violation of democratic norms, reports the DW. The MPs described the actions of Maduro as a "coup", by which he blocked the referendum questioning his resignation. On October 20, Venezuela’s CEC blocked the petition in support of implementing the referendum, accusing the initiators of frauds. In June, the opposition collected 1.85 million signatures to hold a plebiscite, which is almost 10 times more than necessary to start the political process.
