The US Attorney General of Pennsylvania Kathleen G. Kane, who on Monday was sentenced to 10-23 months’ for leakage of confidential information to the media and perjury, has been released on bail of $ 75.000 , reports the Associated Press.

The source reports that Kane was placed under arrest in the courtroom, after the verdict had been published. However, she stayed in prison for 2 hours only, since her lawyer paid a bail for her.  Kane will live in freedom, until her defense prepares documents to appeal the verdict. The documentation makes it clear that she abused her position and deliberately leaked information to the media with a hope to discredit her political adversary – the former prosecutor general of the state  Frank Fina.
