The opposition coalition and the ruling party of Venezuela have announced about their intention to start a dialogue from October 30. The official representative of Venezuela ‘s ruling party announced in a briefing that the ruling party and the opposition have reached consensus on starting negotiations and thanked all the mediators who had supported them.

The Secretary General of the opposition coalition Jesús Torrealba confirmed that the opposition will hold a dialogue with the government; both sides agreed to create a joint commission. Torrealba stressed that the dialogue should not turn into a tactical maneuver to gain time. In addition, the opposition will not give up peaceful demonstrations and attempts to restore a democratic order in the country.
