The CEO, of Millennium Challenge Corporation USA, Daniel Johannes, located in Georgia along with U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Bass visited the ethnicaly Armenian populated region of Samtskhe-Javakheti (Javakhk) and got acquainted with the course of road construction.

According to Turkish media, this project aims to restore the road transport network in the region. The budget is $ 203.5.

Under the project funded by the MCC, 220 kilometer road will be constructed, including the distance between Turkey and Armenia borders. Program goal is to help the rehabilitation of the infrastructure and project development in the regions with a budget of $395.3 million.
