YEREVAN. - The talks on the self-determination and status of Nagorno-Karabakh are on the agenda; all the other issues stem from them.

Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction, Vahram Baghdasaryan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In his words, the agreements reached at Vienna and St. Petersburg meetings have been violated only by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. “All his statements are merely aimed at distracting his own people and justifying himself before them. It was recorded in the presence of the heads of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states that our position is the following: we cannot speak about other problems unless the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh self-determination is solved,” Baghdasaryan stressed.

It will be possible to speak about other problems only after the final resolution of the issue on the Nagorno-Karabakh status, the MP added.

At a press-conference held in Yerevan on Tuesday, U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, James Warlick, stated that the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has launched a discussion on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, urging to welcome that step.
