YEREVAN. – In 2017, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia wishes to hold two international music festivals in Gyumri—the second largest city of Armenia.

Minister Armen Amiryan stated about the aforementioned at the Welcome to Armenia tourism forum, which is held Friday in capital city Yerevan.

In the minister’s words, choral music and duduk—musical instrument—festivals are scheduled in Gyumri.

“We want tourists to know: there is something to watch in Armenia, also outside Yerevan,” assured Amiryan. “And performances of the Opera Theater could attract them (…) in the capital city.”
