YEREVAN. - The official opening ceremony of the Armenian branch of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung/Foundation (KAS) took place in Yerevan Friday.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Speaker of Armenian Parliament Hermine Naghdalyan, deputies from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Ruzanna Muradyan, Artak Zakaryan, Artak Davtyan, Karen Avagyan, as well as Head of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung/Foundation (KAS) Regional Program, Political Dialogue South Caucasus Office Thomas Schrapel and German Bundestag deputy Albert Weiler, who is one of the authors of the bill on the Armenian Genocide recognition by Bundestag.

MP Artak Davtyan noted that the opening of the bright office indicates that the implemented programs contributed to the implementation of the goals set.

For his part, Bundestag MP Albert Weiler said that the opening of KAS branch in downtown Yerevan is a very important step in terms of the Armenian-German cooperation, which has been developing quite intensively in the recent months.
