All the tyrants in history suffered from inferiority complex, writes the Azg newspaper, citing the examples of Nero, who set Rome on fire, and Tamerlane, who exacted vengeance on the world for his lameness.

The newspaper goes on, mentioning Lenin, Hitler, Stalin and Mao. As regards Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev, he has not yet “reached” the aforementioned tyrants’ level. However, he is seeking to. President Aliev is suffering from inferiority complex as well. When a student of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) he had serious problems and solved them with his father’s help, the newspaper writes, referring to reliable sources. But even the “god almighty”, Aliev Senior once let his son Ilham down, when the famous Moscow-based political scientist Valentin Zorin gave “a poor” mark to him. Even a call from the Kremlin did not save the situation, and “poor” Ilham had to continue his studies in Kiev.

That incident caused severe psychological traumas to Ilham Aliev, which accounts for his overwhelming desire for self-affirmation. He is trying to get rid of the “lame duck” complex, but he will never succeed. “Heydar’s shadow is always a step ahead of Ilham,” the newspaper concludes.
