According to the information at Hayots Ashkharh daily’s disposal, Vice President of Union of Armenians of Russia, Russian-Armenian polar explorer, political figure Arthur Chilingarov stated that he had raised the Armenian flag during his recent expedition to the North Pole.
Hero of the Soviet Union and Russian Federation conveyed the flag to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan within the framework of celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the union.
