On December 12, the delegation of Russian Orthodox Church arrived in Armenia at the invitation of Catholicos of All Armenian Karekin II.

On the first day of the visit, Metropolitan Ilarion held a liturgy at Russian St Tiramayr (Holy Mother) church in Kanaker district. He gave his blessings to the representatives of Russian community. Professor of ancient and Armenian Church history, Very Reverend Father Hovakim Manukyan also was present at the religious service.

Later, Metropolitan Ilarion of Volokolamsk held a private meeting with His Holiness Karekin II in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, press service of Holy See Etchmiadzin informed NEWS.am.

Following the meeting, the Russian delegation attended St. Liturgy. Famous Italian singer of the Armenian origin Rozy Svazlyan also attended the meeting.

Later, the delegation members visited Vazgenyan seminary in Sevan, where Metropolitan Ilarion answered the students’ questions.
