The leader of Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) Walid Jumblatt offered to support Julian, Assange chief editor of the whistleblower website WikiLeaks, for Nobel Peace Prize 2011.

Jumblatt praised Assange, saying the Australian could be the best candidate to be nominated for the Nobel Prize for Peace 2011, after he uncovered the real facts as they are without any attempts to beautify them.

As NEWS.am reported previously, anonymous sources in the Kremlin have offered non-governmental organizations to back the Australian for the next Nobel Peace Prize.

Assange is currently being held in prison in London and is wanted on rape charges made against him by Swedish authorities.
