One of the professors of Turkish Sabanci University Cemil Kocak delivered a scandalous speech at a conference dedicated to the Canakkale war.

Speaking at the conference, Kocak repeatedly placed emphasis on “lieutenant colonel Mustafa” phrase, Aksam reported. One of the participants asked whether he meant Kemal Ataturk by saying Mustafa.

“Lieutenant colonel Mustafa was dismissed for being unaccomplished and talentless. It was a mere coincidence that he became a historical figure. Lieutenant colonel Mustafa did not govern even 5-10 people. If he were not lucky he would spend his life in the corner of a café,” he said, adding that Germans, not Turks won the battle of Canakkale.
