The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) refutes the rumors about kits secession from the ruling coalition. On the other hand, it does not specify its position on a number of issues, which causes the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) to draw its conclusions, RPA Vice-Chairman Razmik Zohrabyan told journalists.

Speaking of the differences between the RPA and PAP, he stressed that the RPA is not implementing its own policy, but is committed to the state policy. “We will implement a state policy even when we are in the opposition camp, as we are a pro-state political force,” Zohrabyan said. In contrast to the RPA, PAP has its own party policy. “They say, for instance, ties with Europe are more important than with Russia. The RPA says that cooperation with Russia is a priority. I think it is a play on words,” Zohrabyan said.

He stressed that the political forces seeking to get the majority of votes in the forthcoming elections have launched their election campaign. “The Republican Party is going to intensify its activities as well,” he said. Zohrabyan is sure that the RPA will be the leader.

As to the country’s problems, Zohrabyan said that the Government must do its best to curb inflation. “The Government has a program and will certainly implement it this year,” the MP said.

Zohrabyan stressed the need for “working at ourselves , for the Armenian nation to become equal with other nations and even leave them behind.” “We must do our best to become a nation beneficial for the world,” he said.
